The Mill
Hume Country Mill
Hume Country Mill was established in the 1950s as a grain cleaning facility — a working infrastructure built to handle the yield of the surrounding Riverina farmland. Over seven decades, the mill has evolved from grain cleaning into full oat processing: dehulling, stabilising, rolling, cutting, milling, and separating every format we supply.
The facility sits at 37.5°S latitude in one of Australia's most consistent oat-growing regions. The Riverina's temperate climate, fertile soils, and reliable seasonal patterns produce grain with characteristically high β-glucan content and low mycotoxin incidence — qualities that are not manufactured. They are grown.
The Blair Family
Local Farmers for 125 Years
The Blair family has farmed in the Riverina region for 125 years. They do not source oats from the open market and blend to specification. The family grows the majority of the grain processed at Hume Country Mill directly — from seed selection through to harvest, cleaning, and milling.
That vertical integration is not a marketing statement. It is an operational reality that gives us traceability that trading companies cannot replicate: every batch we ship carries a documented origin, variety, and growing season — because we were there for all of it.
